Social club
Free-of-charge for all!
Free-of-charge for all!
Our FREE social club is led by our young people and gently overseen by mentors. This club create safe, low-pressure, online-first spaces inclusive of and welcoming to neurodivergent young people (aged 11–18), designed to support them while being open to anyone who benefits from a gentle, understanding environment.
Members can:
Connect on their own terms. No forced cameras, no awkward small talk required.
Chat around their passions: gaming, art, films, business ideas, content creation, events, and those deep-dive niche special interests.
Build authentic friendships where being "different" is the baseline, not a barrier.
Grow through our motivating member progression system: starting with sharing resources and giving feedback, moving to creating content, mentoring others, launching their own themed club at higher levels, co-designing and co-organizing events under our Nottingham Youth Leaders Programme, and even shaping the community's future, with real opportunities for voluntary work experience and paid part-time roles.
We understand that screens often act as essential coping tools—helping manage sensory overload, social exhaustion, dopamine needs, and anxiety. Our clubs transform that into joyful, meaningful connection, reducing isolation, boosting a true sense of belonging, and supporting mental well-being in ways that feel natural and empowering.
As a social enterprise, we rely on a blend of trading and generous contributions to sustain our work to keep everything accessible to all young people and their families in Nottingham.
Your donation, big or small, helps us continue providing services that empower the next generation to thrive.
Thank you for believing in our mission and helping bridge minds and hearts. Every contribution makes a real difference.

Nottingham Youth Leaders is a vibrant community impact project run by Bridge Builders Wellbeing Ltd, a Nottingham-based social enterprise dedicated to nurturing the mental health, creativity, and leadership potential of young people in our city.
Young people in the Nottingham Youth Leaders Programme can enjoy the full benefits of our highly motivating progression system through the FREE social club.
The Progression System – Their Path from Participant to Leader
At the heart of the social club is our structured, game-like 6-level progression system that rewards engagement, creativity, and growth. It empowers every member to move step-by-step from passive participation to active leadership and meaningful contribution
This progression isn't just about climbing ranks, it's designed to build genuine confidence, responsibility, pride, and real-world skills. Every level offers clear, achievable activities across different interests, turning everyday online engagement into purposeful leadership and lasting impact.
Beyond the Progression System – Hands-On Community Event Leadership
In addition to the structured progression, the Nottingham Youth Leaders Programme gives young people the exciting opportunity to co-design and co-organise real community events.
Members start with online mentorship: brainstorming ideas, planning logistics, creating promotional materials, and learning event management skills in a supported digital environment. As they progress and gain confidence, they move into hands-on, real-world experience: helping run in-person or hybrid events (such as themed meetups, wellbeing walks, showcases, workshops, or community events) across Nottingham.
This bridge from virtual planning to actual event delivery provides practical leadership practice, teamwork in action, problem-solving under real conditions, and the pride of seeing their ideas come to life, all while contributing positively to their local community.
Monthly Guest Speaker & Interview Sessions
Each month, we'll invite a speaker working in a different industry to share their experiences and be interviewed live by the young people themselves.
This monthly initiative offers young people aged 11–18 a unique opportunity to bridge the gap between education and the professional world. By researching various sectors and engaging in these conversations, members can expand their knowledge of specific job roles, understand the essential skills and qualifications employers seek, and explore different learning pathways to secure their "dream job". These interactions provide firsthand insights into the daily realities of work, including what professionals like or dislike about their roles and the advice they would give their younger selves.
To maximize accessibility, the sessions are held online, allowing for a flexible schedule that accommodates both parents and students without the need for travel. This digital format enables the club to invite expert speakers from across various cities in the UK, offering a broader perspective on the "world of work" than a local-only programme could provide. By participating in these supported interviews, young people can gain valuable "top tips" and learn from the real-life experiences of others to better prepare for their own future career journeys.
